Being a licensed builder and building consultant, I mostly deal with building advice, inspection and scopes. Essentially, assessing claims and providing a description of the damage and scope of works to repair those issues.

For our business to be successful and deliver on our contract and outcomes, we need a builder who is a partner to our contract to deliver the backend outcomes being the deliver and repair. Those aspects are just as important to our role at the frontend. Certainly, cost comes into play. Ability to ramp up during times of catastrophes, KPI’s, timeframes, ability to turn quotes and reports around quickly, those things are important so that the insurance company has an outcome for their insured, which would build more business for their company.
